The project of Optimization of compressed air production originated from the reason of operation requirement for modernization of outdated and worn equipment of compressor station and also from the reason of optimization of compressed air production.
In the compressor station there was performed disassembly of the original compressor, cooling aggregates, pipelines and accessories for air cooling. Existing foundations were modifies for erection of a new turbo-compressor in container design, without acoustic shielding and with cooling connected to circulation circuit CV2 of the plant.
Air drying was made by a new adsorption drier in container design using regeneration air and compress heat. The pipelines and valves of compressed air were also replaced.
For the compressor station there was selected turbo-compressor for compressed air production from Atlas Copco ZH900-7 company with the 1000kW motor with following parameters:
- Water cooled three-level centrifugal air compressor in container design with complete equipment and all components including internal pipeline system and connections:
- Horizontally divided gear with three compression levels
- Electric motor with lubrication
- Cooling system of the compressor and the motor
- Autonomous control system
- Nominal capacity of the new compressor and drying line is 10 000 Nm3/h on the outlet from the compressor (reference conditions: 20 °C, 100 kPaa), while it enables loss-free performance control in the range of 7 000 ÷ 10 000 Nm3/h.
- Capacity of the new drying line in the compressor station is nominally 12 000 Nm3/h.
